Location: Porto or Lisbon, Hybrid
Our client is recruiting a Cloud Data Engineer (m/f) to design and implement data processing pipelines on AWS using services like Kinesis, Lambda and DynamoDB; Develop and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines to ensure quality, completeness and timeless of data; Collaborate with the team and other members of the business to develop models that support business objectives;Troubleshoot and resolve issues within pipeline components which include ingestion, processing and storage; Monitor pipeline performance and make recommendations for optimisation and scaling; Ensure security and compliance with industry best practises; Develop and maintain Documentation for data pipeline components, processes and workflows.
For this position, you should have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or 5 year’s experience in the field of data engineering; Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and implementing data processing pipelines on AWS; Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages; Experience with AWS services, including Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudFormation; Knowledge of stream processing frameworks like Apache Kafka or Apache Flink is a plus; Familiarity with databases, data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL processes; Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
